What to Post about...

So lately I have really not had much to post about. It kinda has been just our normal routine around here. Everything the last few weeks have been pretty uneventful around here.

The only thing I had to post about was my most awkward experience in the gym. Let's just say we may have met a brother to Michael from "The Office." This guy was so odd, I truly felt uncomfortable. Every time he would lift the weights, he would make a horrendous sound, like he was trying to impress everyone around him, but looked absolutely ridiculous doing so. The sad thing is, is that this is a normal for him because I have seen him doing the same thing before. Very Strange!

This past weekend did get more exciting. Monty had his birthday on Friday and we of course celebrated. Ashlyn was rather disappointed because his birthday party was nothing like the last one she went to at a preschool gym for one of her friends. She really never understood; she was just disappointed. We did get to spend time with Monty's parents. They came in on Saturday and left Sunday.

Saturday morning we did have the offical opening ceremonies for Caleb's baseball league. I thought it was funny because they have already played 4 games. I don't really understand. (The random girl in the picture is mascot's bodyguard. I don't know why she had to be in the picture as well.)

I did capture a sweet moment for our new American. Hand over heart, listening to the Star Spangled Banner. She was pretty cute.

More exciting news from Ashlyn, she has hair long enough for pig-tails, just barely.

Surgery, baseball, and pre-school...

This last week has been somewhat eventful. We started it off with the usual family things. We have done a couple of youth activities, had baseball practice, went to school, had doctor's appointments, etc. And then Mik had to have surgery. It was a surgery that we knew was coming, but it was still sad. The surgery took place on her eyelid, but from the following picture, you would never know that. One might think the surgery took place on her leg, but no, it was near her eye. I think she looks like she needs to pull up her "sock." It was hard when Caleb and Ashlyn both have had to have surgery, and Mik was no different (She is my first little baby.)

She looks so lop-sided.

Yesterday was Caleb's first official baseball game. He wore his new jersey, new baseball cap, new baseball pants, and new red baseball socks! It was so exciting. It seems a little anticlimactic because the opening ceremonies don't even happen for another week and a half. We are so new to this, that every practice and game is an experience for us all. (Even though it is Tball, the coaches pitches each player 3 balls and then they can use the Tee if needed. Who knew?)

And today, our sweet little Ashlyn went to Preschool. I know that traditionally, the first day of school normally happens in August, but we chose April. She was so excited about it all. She was even excited about her lunch box and backpack. She could have cared less that is was one of Caleb's old lunch boxes and backpacks. She did great and loved every minute of it.
