Last week, we got the opportunity to go to the lake with Grammy and Big Charlie for a few days of summer fun. Monty grew up with skiing as a big part of his summers, so we try to make time every summer to spend some time on the lake, which seems to get harder and harder every year. This year was really special because Caleb doesn't have tubes in his ears like the last few summers have been. (Time on the lake is really hard with tubes.) No tubes meant...learn how to ski!! We didn't know how it would really go, but were willing to give it a try.

Ashlyn saw what Caleb was doing, and she was not about to let Caleb show her up, so she gave it a try. Like Caleb, after several tries, Ashlyn gets up skiing. Yea, yea, yea times 2!!

That is so great...I love it! Speaking as someone who did not learn to waterski until I was 28, the kids will thank you. :) It looks like everyone had a fun time!
Wow...I'm so impressed...both your kids got up and (and look completely coordinated, I might add), and I STILL can't ski.
I guess if Kelly learned at 28, there's hope for me yet though!
WOW it took me a whole summer to learn! I remember when Caleb wouldn't even get in the water! It was good seeing ya'll!

I keep telling Kelly we need to get a ski boat so that we can teach our kids to ski. Although she loves to ski, Kelly has yet give in to my constant whining about not have a ski boat.
You should just know that Kelsey's dad tried to teach me how to water ski- you know, the master of patience. Yeah, he lost patience and eventually gave up. So, props to yo kids for being better than me. :)
